The Seventh College Synthesis Program takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing the challenges posed by our changing planet. The three-course sequence includes two courses of intensive instruction in university-level writing (SYN 1/1R and 2/2R) and one project-based course (SYN 100). Synthesis offers a SYN 1 and 2 summary course (SYN 150/150R) designed for students transferring to Seventh College. Synthesis offers a directed group study (SYN 198), and an independent study (SYN 199) for students to continue projects they begin in previous synthesis courses. Synthesis also offers an instruction in project-based learning course (SYN 195) for students interested in working with SYN 100 group projects as undergraduate instructional assistants.
