UC San Diego Global Exchange programs are reciprocal, academic year study abroad opportunities between UC San Diego and high-ranking partner universities abroad. Unlike UCEAP, Global Exchange is exclusively for UC San Diego students with some programs for particular majors, and others for all undergraduate students. Unique opportunities include research programs, project-based learning, language study, and more. Participants remain enrolled at UC San Diego, pay regular tuition and fees, have access to their usual financial aid, and can apply for UC San Diego Study Abroad scholarships. Courses can be petitioned to fulfill degree requirements, and course credits received while abroad count as transfer credits, so they do not affect your UC GPA. For more information, consult the UC San Diego Global Exchange website at https://global.ucsd.edu/programs-partnerships/global-exchange-programs/gep-outbound/index.html.
